The Illusion of 'Safe, Legal Abortion'

Thursday, August 25, 2016

Once again, abortion and the safety of women is highlighted in the media by the CQC, following alarming failures discovered during unannounced inspections of Marie Stopes International (MSI) clinics in England. Of course, we already know that abortion is never safe for the pre-born child. Sadly, this is not taken into account when inspecting abortion clinics; the life of the baby the mother is carrying is of no account in this business, and very few babies indeed survive the process intended only to extinguish their lives. We know of course that some; maybe many women question whether an abortion really kills a developing baby... Read More...

How Much do YOU want to see Human Rights restored to the Pre-born child?

Saturday, August 06, 2016

Next year, 2017, will be the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Abortion Act. From making abortion 'safe, legal and rare', we now have Abortion, effectively, on demand with the 'My body, my choice' chants ringing in our ears. Abortion proponents and those who make a tidy income from the slaughter of pre-born children are emboldened to demand abortion as a 'women's rights' issue, unchallenged by our law-makers who have been turning a blind eye to the abortion industry breaking the law for decades now. Their spokesperson, leading the way, is Ann Furedi, CEO for the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (Bpas) who is campaigning for women to have the right to abort their children legally for any reason, through all nine months of pregnancy with no need for the agreement of two doctors. If a woman wants an abortion, according to Furedi, no one should put any restrictions on her. Her book, 'The Moral Case for Abortion' has just been published, in which she tries to justify the intentional killing of pre-born children. Read More...

An honest account of a Pro-Lifer's first March for Life

Saturday, May 21, 2016

Having been a 'pro-lifer' for almost 3 years now (involved in action rather than just attitude), I attended my first March for Life in Birmingham at the weekend. In all honesty I went to 'work' to promote our upcoming training programs to a target market of 'hot-lead' pro-lifers. (Yes my background is sales!) I have wanted to be more united as a pro-life movement, but had felt that we (Abort67) were side-lined in the past by some pro-life groups for being 'too controversial' mainly due to our prime strategy of using so-called 'graphic images' or as I prefer to call them 'abortion-victim images'. Having said that, I have made some great allies from within many of the major groups. So on one hand I was pleased that we were invited to have a stall and share about our work, but on the other hand I was dubious if it would be any more than a party for like-minded people who are against abortion. However, what I experienced at the March for Life, I was deeply encouraged, and above all, humbled. Read More...

'Not in Our Name!'

Monday, May 16, 2016

"Not in our name" is the response of horrified midwives to their union's unilateral decision to back the campaign calling for the complete deregulation of abortion. This would mean that a woman could 'choose' to have an abortion throughout all 9 months of pregnancy for any reason. The thinking behind this is summed up in a statement made by a spokesman for the Royal College of Midwives (RCM). Their chief executive, Prof Cathy Warwick was unavailable for comment when approached by the Daily Mail. Read More...

A letter to my mother

Monday, April 18, 2016

This is a story all about just one persons experience of abortion. There are millions of stories, and none of them are the same. No one story is ever, less hard hitting than this one. You see, each story of an abortion ends the life of the unborn child and this is why what we do, day in, day out, as pro-life advocates is so important. We need to change the culture of thinking in society. We need people to re-evaluate what it actually means to have an abortion. This is a tragic story, one which begs many questions and prompts me to note a few observations Read More...

A look at the risk of Depression Following an Abortion

Monday, April 11, 2016

The Mirror recently reported on the tragic findings of the coroner: that 21 year old Jade Rees, intentionally took her own life, following an abortion. Her 5 month relationship with the father of the baby had ended. Soon afterwards, Jade had an abortion. Jade left a handwritten note addressed to her parents and also her two-year-old son to explain the struggles she had faced since the procedure. Another note to her son said simply "He means everything to me". Truly heart breaking. Did Jade cover up the fact that she had a history of depression and anorexia when she was (presumably) counselled by the abortion providers before they agreed to abort her child? Read More...

Aisling - Takes The Abortion Debate To Mexico

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

The most liberal abortion laws in the country are in Mexico City, where women are permitted to have free abortions up to 12 weeks of pregnancy and where a total of 15,000 legal abortions take place annually. As I was concluding my research I was extremely shocked at some statistics I discovered on the estimated amount of illegal abortions that take place each year in Mexico. The Guttmacher institute estimates 1 million abortions happened in 2009, and 800,000 per year since (40% higher than the US abortion rates)*. Upon discovering this I felt a real urgency for, not just the university students, but the pastors in Mexico to be made aware of this reality (even though talking about abortion was not on the mission agenda). Doctors Who Give Hope

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

This is a heart warming story indeed. Toddlers Quinn and Jude are alive today thanks to being offered hope by doctors specializing in fetal surgery. The twins were diagnosed with Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome at the 20 week scan and the prognosis was bleak. The main article can be found in The Daily Mail Online here. Diagnosed at 20 weeks... legal abortion can be carried out up to 24 weeks and through all 9 months - up to birth, where an abnormality is diagnosed in the pre-born child. Read More...

Doctors Who Write Off The Pre-Born Disabled As Worthless

Monday, February 15, 2016

Why are we seeing doctors so readily offering abortion as a good option to parents whose pre-born child has been given a diagnosis of a fetal anomaly? Why are so many parents not informed about the option of fetal medicine - where appropriate? Read More...
